The Best Language Centres in Ecuador
There are many educational centres in the country that teach English, but to be the best, they must meet a set of requirements.
That is why we ran a survey of 50 respondents to ask them about their educational experiences and to recommend the best English institution in the country.
Based on their opinion, we've compiled a list of the top 13 educational institutions in the country.
#1: Education First (EF)
- EF is a global school with over 50 years of expertise teaching students from all around the world. Their lessons are tailored to ensure that pupils study in a practical and effective manner. Pupils can access all content on their computers, tablets, or smartphones. Through language study, cultural exchange, academic programs, and educational travel with native speakers, EF opens the world through education. (EF, n. d.).
- Teachers support students in their process of assimilation and understanding. This school has internationally recognized texts and materials. Its policy is to evaluate the teacher and the student during each period of study to provide effective solutions. (Cambridge, n. d.).
- The mission of this Academy is forever changing the students' lives and transforming them into citizens ready for a globalized world. Their main purpose is to produce results that allow each student to expand their horizons and attain their objectives. (Oxford Ecuador, n.d.)
- International House is a very well-established English school which started teaching in 2008. This is an authorized language centre for Cambridge Assessment English and British Council IELTS. They teach a variety of English courses to adults, teens and young people. In particular they specialize in courses such as: CELT-P & CELT-S and CELTA. (IHWorld, 2021).
- They have interactive and modern classrooms, there are various courses available to everyone and offers good prices. Their mission is to have activities where there is no room for boredom, and where students see that they are learning fastly. They teach with real situations so that the pupils feels the real experience of learning. (Cendia English Institute, 2022).
- This language centre offers communicative exams that assess the four language skills: listening, reading comprehension, written and oral expression. This centre help its students practice and study in a more effective way in which they will have 10 times more knowledge than a normal teaching. (Charlotte English School, n.d.)
- It is located in Ibarra, it has an English course for children, youth and adults. Their methodology is very interactive because they have conversational tours with foreigners. They prepare for the TOEFL exam, and offers the Cambridge International certifications and trips abroad. (Illinois English School, 2018).
It is an educational center with a very good methodology and with guaranteed results, it also fits students daily routine. The classes are enjoyable and personalized. There is a very good teaching and fast learning, they are built to be the best, by their highly-qualified teachers and personal coaches. (Wall Street English, n. d.).
"La Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas - ESPE", is considered one of the most emblematic in the country for its constant innovation and contribution to the productive development of Ecuador, which offers third- level technical, human and administrative careers in different campuses. It is an excellent place to learn a new language with Ecuadorian teachers. (ESPE Institute de Idiomas, 2021).
#10: Global English
- This language centre offers an optimized pedagogical system to save time and give students three active breaks in all our classes. Students will have several advantages for their high performance within the Global program. It also offers general and specific tutoring, proactive evaluations, monitor program, progress check system, global techniques and national and foreign trained teachers. (Global English, n.d.).
- It is located in Quito and offers personalized English programs for both kids and adults; the learning methodology for children is based on arts and games. The teachers of the English classes are very professional, recursive and they make interactive classes. (Academia Cotopaxi American International School, 2021).
- Certificate issued in Switzerland by Bénédict International.
- Certificate issued in England by the University of Cambridge.
- They work with internationally renowned books such as the Interchange English for International Communication series; the books include creative activities, related to the active teaching of grammar, reading, pronunciation, writing and comprehension. In addition, the instructors are trained to carry out reinforcement activities not included in the texts: videos, audio, group work, creation and recognition workshops, dramatization and others. (CEC EPN, n.d.).
But which of all these institutes is the best?
Education First has qualified native teachers and is recognized by the University of Cambridge to give the CEFR exams.
